Telepass signs the EETS agreement with the RDW. The signing marks the start of the process to be admitted for the truck toll in the Netherlands

Telepass, a leader in electronic toll collection and integrated mobility, has signed the so-called EETS agreement with the RDW, the Netherlands Vehicle Authority. As a public service provider, the RDW has been standing for 75 years for safety, sustainability and legal certainty in mobility, for road users and society.

This milestone launches the technical certification phase that, within’ 2026, will allow Telepass to be certified in the Netherlands for the electronic toll collection system EETS (European Electronic Tolling Service).

“With the extension of the toll payment service in the Netherlands, Telepass reaffirms its mission to simplify the movement of people and goods across Europe, enabling seamless travel between multiple countries through a single interoperable device, thus strengthening its leadership in this market. The Netherlands becomes the nineteenth country in our network, demonstrating our commitment to meeting the needs of the European transport sector by providing an innovative and integrated solution”, affirms Francesco Maria Cenci, Head of Italy & EU tolling of Telepass.

Telepass confirms once again that it is the leading player in the opening of new markets and with over 240.000 kms of interconnected roads and motorways, as the first toll payment operator in Europe for heavy vehicles.
